GUIDANCE AND COUNSELLING ADDRESSAL

The college has a Counselling Committee and the following faculty members have been nominated to take care of the Academic development and benefit of the students for the academic year 2012-2013. The students can obtain the guidance regarding curricular, extracurricular activities and about their academic performance and psychological Counselling from the following faculty members. The details of the committee members have been displayed in the college notice board for student reference.

The college has a Grievance Redressal cell and the following faculty members have been designated to take care of the Grievance Redressal cell for the academic year 2012-13. The committee deals with issues relating to various problems faced by the students. It is applicable to all students and faculty. A complaint may be rectified by the committee members.

A written complaint may be addressed to the principal over phone or in person and it will be kept confidential and also the action will be taken immediately. The students can also communicate their problems directly to the principal .The cell provides solution to the problem of the students. ANTIRAGGING COMMITTEE

The College has a Anti Ragging committee and the following faculty members have been designated to take care of the ragging grievance of the academic year 2012-2013. The students can convey their ragging problems to the following faculty members over phone or in person or in written format. The students can also communicate their grievances directly to the Principal.The action will be taken immediately. The details of the committee members have been displayed in the college notice board for student reference a complaint box has been kept in the college entrance.

STUDENTS GRIEVANCE CELL

The function of the cell is to look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judge its merit. The Grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the department members in person, or in consultation with the officer in-charge Students’ Grievance Cell. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at Administrative Block. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the officer in-charge of Students’ Grievance Cell.

SEXUAL HARASSMENT COMMITTEE

The Anti- Sexual Harassment Cell has been established to provide a healthy and congenial atmosphere to all the staff members and students.
The cell meets the following objectives :

  • To develop guidelines and norms for a policy against sexual harassment.
  • To develop principles and procedures for combating sexual harassment.
  • To work out details for the implementation of the policy.
  • To prepare a detailed plan of actions, both short and long term.
  • To organize gender sensitization awareness programmes.
    • Till now no cases of sexual harassment at workplace have been registered

    RED RIBBON CLUB

    Red Ribbon Club (RRC) Aims at harnessing the potential of the youth by equipping them with correct information on mental health, substance abuse, nutrition and reproductive health and building their capacities as peer educators in spreading messages on the positive health behaviour in an enabling environment. Educating youth and other members in the wider community on sexuality and HIV/AIDS, development of life skills for students involved, and instilling a spirit of compassion towards people living with HIV/AIDS in our country.

    NSS

      The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a Central Sector Scheme of Government of India, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. It provides opportunity to the student youth of 11th & 12th Class of schools at +2 Board level and student youth of Technical Institution, Graduate & Post Graduate at colleges and University level of India to take part in various government led community service activities & programmes.The sole aim of the NSS is to provide hands on experience to young students in delivering community service. Since inception of the NSS in the year 1969, the number of students strength increased from 40,000 to over 3.8 million up to the end of March 2018 students in various universities, colleges and Institutions of higher learning have volunteered to take part in various community service programmes
